HNK Zagreb sets ticket sales record for The Nutcracker

The Croatian National Theatre (HNK) in Zagreb has experienced record-breaking demand for its upcoming production of the ballet 'The Nutcracker'. During a recent online sale, more than 4,200 tickets were sold in just 70 seconds, a feat HNK director Iva Hraste Sočo noted as unprecedented for the institution.

Due to the high demand, large crowds gathered in front of the theater as early as 6:00 AM to wait for the start of in-person ticket sales. Many spectators brought folding chairs to endure the long wait. The production is scheduled to be performed 19 times this season, with a total of over 13,000 tickets available, though interest suggests these may not satisfy all fans.
