HNK Zagreb to host free outdoor screening of Nutcracker ballet

The Croatian National Theatre (HNK) in Zagreb has announced a free outdoor screening of the ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ for citizens who were unable to secure tickets. Following a rapid sell-out where 4,218 tickets were sold online in mere seconds, the theatre will host the event on December 19 at 18:00 in front of the HNK building at Republic of Croatia Square.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that a large-screen broadcast has been organized to make the production accessible to a wider audience. The performance features the Rudolf Nureyev version, with choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, set to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The event is supported by the Zagreb Tourist Board as part of the city's Advent celebrations.
