Ho Chi Minh City addresses administrative reforms and fake documents

Ho Chi Minh City authorities have issued warnings regarding fraudulent documents circulating on social media. While an official dispatch from the City People's Committee regarding the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units is authentic, a supplementary appendix attached to it in online posts is fake and was not issued by the government.

In response to voter concerns regarding administrative burdens following mergers, the Ministry of Home Affairs addressed issues of workload and resource allocation for commune-level officials. The Ministry emphasized the need to resolve bottlenecks and ensure that the delegation of tasks is accompanied by sufficient resources and accountability.

Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City is researching a new model for commune-level urban order management teams. This initiative aims to improve the detection and handling of construction and land-use violations, ensuring more effective local governance and preventing overlapping responsibilities within the city's administrative structure.
