Ho Chi Minh City adjusts Phu My 2 Bridge investment to nearly 22 trillion VND
Ho Chi Minh City has approved an adjustment to the investment plan for the Phu My 2 Bridge project, which will be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The total investment for the project has been revised to nearly 22,000 billion VND, a decrease from the previous estimate of approximately 23,186 billion VND.
The adjustment involves a shift in the payment structure. The value of land funds allocated for payment to investors is expected to decrease by approximately 94.8 billion VND, down to 14,988.4 billion VND. Conversely, the portion to be covered by the city's budget will increase by over 1,095 billion VND, reaching approximately 6,903.2 billion VND. City officials stated that budget funds will only be used if the land fund is insufficient to meet investor payments.
Once completed, the Phu My 2 Bridge will serve as a strategic connection between southern Ho Chi Minh City, southern Dong Nai province, and Long Thanh International Airport. The project aims to alleviate traffic pressure on the existing Phu My Bridge and improve regional transport infrastructure.
