Ho Chi Minh City administrative center construction progresses in Thu Thiem

Construction is progressing at the new Ho Chi Minh City administrative center and central square project in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. Located on a 46.7-hectare site in An Khanh Ward, the area has become a major construction site featuring hundreds of workers and heavy machinery, including cranes, excavators, and pile drilling machines.

The project is divided into four independent components: the administrative center, a central square, a convention and performance center, and technical infrastructure including parking and landscape areas. The administrative-political center will have a total floor area of approximately 272,000 square meters, designed to accommodate about 8,000 officials and employees, while also serving 1,500 to 2,000 citizens and business representatives daily.

The central square is intended to be a large-scale public green space for cultural activities and outdoor festivals, with a total investment of 733 billion VND. Work is currently focused on the foundation and ground stages across the expansive site.
