Ho Chi Minh City and Phú Thọ host local forums on labour, housing and Ho Chi Minh’s historical legacy
On 4–6 June, the Tan Định ward People's Committee in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a dialogue between the ward party leadership, the local People’s Committee, the Communist Youth Union and the Labour Union. Delegates praised recent social‑welfare policies and discussed concrete proposals on social housing, stable employment, administrative reform, the use of artificial intelligence, health care and environmental protection. The ward leadership responded to the suggestions and announced the creation of a new "Tech Delivery Union" to organise platform‑based workers.
On 5 June, the Đoan Hùng commune in Phú Thọ province held a scientific conference with the Ho Chi Minh Institute and the National Academy of Politics to examine President Ho Chi Minh’s 1961 visit to the Đồng Tâm cooperative. Speakers highlighted the president’s call for unity – “Đồng Tâm là cùng một lòng” – and linked it to current efforts to strengthen collective agriculture, combat corruption and promote high‑tech farming. The conference noted the cooperative’s modern achievements, awards and its role as a model for regional development.
