Ho Chi Minh City and TSTtourist honored at World Travel Awards

At the 33rd World Travel Awards for Asia, Oceania, and the Indian Ocean held in the Maldives, Ho Chi Minh City and TSTtourist received major industry recognitions.

Ho Chi Minh City was honored in three categories, including Asia's Leading Business Events Destination, a title it has held for five consecutive years since 2022. The city also maintained its status as Asia's Leading Festival and Events Destination. Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was named Asia's Leading City Tourism Organization for 2026. These accolades follow a period of strong economic performance, with the city reporting over 8.5 million international visitors and nearly 40 million domestic tourists in the first nine months of the year.

In the corporate sector, TSTtourist was named Vietnam's Leading Travel Agency 2026. This marks the second time the company has received this distinction, having previously won in 2018. Chairman Lai Minh Duy noted that the award recognizes the company's efforts in expanding travel routes to markets such as Europe, South America, South Africa, and Oceania, while promoting Vietnamese destinations to international travelers.
