Ho Chi Minh City announces preschool education subsidies

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance has issued a directive regarding the allocation of funds to implement preschool education universalization policies for children aged 3 to 5, in accordance with Decree No. 277/2025/NĐ-CP.

For the 2026-2027 school year, eligible children may receive monthly support ranging from 150,000 to 510,000 VND for nine months of the academic year. This funding covers learning expenses and lunch costs.

Specific support tiers include: - Children in extremely difficult areas, those without caregivers, from poor or near-poor households, or children of martyrs and wounded soldiers may receive 360,000 VND per month for lunch and 150,000 VND per month for learning expenses. - Children attending licensed private or non-public preschools whose parents or caregivers are workers in industrial zones or export processing zones are eligible for a monthly learning expense support of 150,000 VND.
