Ho Chi Minh City approves urban renovation project in District 1

Ho Chi Minh City has approved a detailed 1/500 scale planning decision for the urban renovation of the Ma Lang and Cho Ga - Gao areas in District 1. The project, proposed by Khang Dien House Joint Stock Company, involves a total investment of over 16,369 billion VND.

The investment includes nearly 11,000 billion VND for compensation and resettlement support, approximately 2,900 billion VND for construction, and remaining funds for infrastructure and interest. A key feature of the Cho Ga - Gao area will be a 35-story, 135-meter-tall mixed-use apartment building containing approximately 760 units.

In the Ma Lang area, the project will include approximately 1,400 apartment units, 93 low-rise houses, and a combined primary and secondary school. The project is scheduled to commence in 2026, with expected completion and use between September 2028 and March 2029.
