Ho Chi Minh City auction lowers price of Trương Mỹ Lan's Lexus to 635 million VND

The Ho Chi Minh City Civil Enforcement Office announced a third public auction for the 2013 Lexus ES 300h owned by former businesswoman Trương Mỹ Lan. The auction is scheduled for the morning of 11 August and will be conducted in person at the city's Asset Auction Service Center. After two previous attempts failed to attract a buyer, the starting price has been reduced again, now to 635 million VND (about US$27,000).

The vehicle, a five‑seat black sedan imported privately, was previously listed at 767 million VND, then lowered to 698 million VND, but received no bids. Trương Mỹ Lan is serving a life sentence for multiple offenses in the Vạn Thịnh Phát fraud case, and the court has ordered her to reimburse approximately 30.081 trillion VND to more than 43,000 victims and related parties. Earlier auctions under the same enforcement action sold a Maybach for 16.6 billion VND and a BMW for 879 million VND.
