Vietnam Ministry of Education announces 2026 high school exam results and cut‑off scores

The Ministry of Education and Training said the national high school graduation exam results for 2026 will be released at 8:00 a.m. on 1 July. More than 1.2 million candidates across the country will receive their scores, after which they can apply for re‑evaluation between 1 July and 5 July. Local authorities must complete any appeals by 20 July, and certificates of results, transcripts and related documents will be issued by 7 July.

University and college admission preferences can be registered, adjusted or added on the common admission system from 2 July until 14 July 17:00. Admission results and university cut‑off scores are expected after 17:00 on 9 August. The 2026 exam introduced a rubric‑based scoring system for the Vietnamese literature essay to reduce subjectivity, while multiple‑choice sections continue to be machine‑graded.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education released the list of the top 11 grade‑10 examinees, each achieving a raw score of at least 28.75 out of 30 (before priority points). Nguyễn Đăng Phúc of Hồng Ngọc school topped the list with perfect marks in English and Mathematics and an 8.75 in Literature. The city’s cut‑off scores for grade‑10 admission are slated for public release on 30 June.
