Ho Chi Minh City faces heavy dust and poor air quality

On September 15, heavy dust and haze blanketed several streets in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces, significantly reducing visibility and creating conditions similar to thick fog.

According to IQAir data recorded around 10:40 AM, air quality indices in several southern locations reached red alert levels. Can Tho recorded an index of 187 and Ho Chi Minh City recorded 180, both categorized as “unhealthy for health.” Residents have expressed concerns regarding the lack of official warnings and guidance as the haze persists across major thoroughfares.
