Vietnam industrial fires damage warehouses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi

Multiple industrial fires have occurred in Vietnam, causing significant property damage but no reported casualties.

In Ho Chi Minh City, a large fire broke out early on October 4 at an office chair manufacturing warehouse on Tran Van Giau Street in Tan Tao Ward. The blaze, fueled by highly flammable materials such as foam, fabric, and sponge, spread across thousands of square meters. The intense heat caused parts of the factory's iron frame and roof to collapse and damaged a nearby 16-seat passenger car. Authorities worked to contain the fire and cool the site to prevent reignition.

In Hanoi, a fire occurred on October 5 at a motorcycle parts production facility in Trung Gia Commune. The fire, which produced thick black smoke visible from kilometers away, is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit when a circuit breaker was operated. Approximately 200 people, including local residents and emergency responders, participated in the firefighting efforts. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause and assessing the total damage.
