Ho Chi Minh City hosts 30th anniversary of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods program
The 30th anniversary of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods (HVNCLC) program is being celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City with a festival held at Le Van Tam Park from October 8 to 11, 2026. The event features nearly 150 enterprises and over 200 booths showcasing thousands of domestic products, ranging from food and textiles to household goods.
Over the past three decades, the HVNCLC program has evolved into an ecosystem of more than 1,000 enterprises. Unlike traditional certifications, the program relies on consumer voting through annual sociological surveys to determine which brands earn the title.
Economic experts note that the program has helped shift the competitive landscape for Vietnamese businesses. Rather than merely competing against low-quality imports, such as certain Chinese beer brands that were prevalent in the 1990s, Vietnamese companies are now increasingly competing with major global brands on quality and brand recognition.
