Vietnam national branding and product quality initiatives

Vietnam is advancing its domestic branding and product quality initiatives, highlighted by the recognition of 499 products from 227 enterprises as Vietnam National Brands for 2026. The value of the Vietnam National Brand reached $462.279 billion in 2026, representing a 45.14% increase since 2020 and ranking the nation 32nd globally. To adapt to changing economic contexts, the selection criteria for the 10th National Brand cycle have increased the emphasis on innovation capacity, which now accounts for 30% of the total evaluation.

In conjunction with these branding milestones, the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods (HVNCLC) program is celebrating its 30th anniversary. A festival held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 8 to 11, 2026, featured nearly 150 enterprises and over 200 booths. The program has grown into an ecosystem of more than 1,000 enterprises and utilizes consumer voting through annual sociological surveys to determine brand titles. Experts note that the program has enabled Vietnamese companies to shift from competing against low-quality imports to competing with major global brands on quality and recognition.
