Ho Chi Minh City hosts Australia and EU events to deepen trade and sustainable development ties

Ho Chi Minh City is the venue for two high‑profile international business initiatives in 2026. The Australia‑ASEAN Business Forum will hold the “Meet Australia 2026” conference, drawing more than 350 participants, including over 100 Australian senior executives, to explore cooperation in energy transition, digital technology, agriculture, AI and infrastructure. Organisers aim to translate interest into concrete trade partnerships, investment projects and memoranda of understanding, positioning Vietnam as a strategic partner for Australian firms.

Separately, the city hosted an EU‑Vietnam dialogue on Europe Day, highlighting a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that underpins sustainable‑development collaboration. EU leaders pointed to over 2,700 EU‑backed projects in the city and stressed joint work on green logistics, climate response, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and artificial intelligence. Both events seek to expand market access, technology transfer and long‑term investment, reinforcing Ho Chi Minh City’s role as a hub for foreign‑led economic growth.
