Ho Chi Minh City implements new Urban Development Law

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has reviewed and passed a resolution to organize the implementation of the Urban Development Law within the city. This legislative framework is intended to provide a foundation for the city to proactively develop institutions, mechanisms, and policies under its jurisdiction.

Delegates emphasized the importance of early implementation before the law officially takes effect on October 1. Key objectives include simplifying administrative procedures through science and technology and ensuring that guiding documents are accessible to citizens and businesses. There is also a call to clearly define responsibilities between city levels and local wards to ensure effective decentralization and resource allocation.
