Ho Chi Minh City officials survey agricultural tourism models
The Department of Rural Development in Ho Chi Minh City is conducting surveys of various agricultural tourism models to connect rural tourism with One Commune One Product (OCOP) initiatives. The goal is to establish experiential travel routes linked to local agriculture and indigenous resources.
Upcoming surveys scheduled for October 16 will visit experiential tourism models in Binh Khanh and An Thoi Dong communes, including the Vietnam Nipa Palm Joint Stock Company and Dan Xay Tourist Area. Another survey is planned for October 30 in Dau Tieng commune, focusing on combining rural experiences with accommodation and resort services.
Following these visits, the Department intends to evaluate the models and propose high-potential locations for replication. Previous surveys in Xuan Son commune highlighted challenges such as limited infrastructure and inconsistent connectivity between production facilities, travel agencies, and promotional channels.
