Ho Chi Minh City police prosecute six for public disorder and drug charges

The Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted six individuals for “disturbing public order” following an assault near Vo Thi Sau Lake. The suspects, primarily aged between 15 and 18, were involved in a confrontation on the night of May 25 near a cafe in the Vung Tau ward area.

According to investigative documents, a group of youths gathered to resolve a conflict with a victim named Ho Ngoc An. The group reportedly dragged the victim to a sidewalk where they used hands, feet, and helmets to assault him. During the incident, one individual brandished a machete and made threats.

Among the prosecuted individuals, Lai Hoang Phuc, Le Quoc An, Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, and Nguyen Thanh Tai were identified as direct participants in the assault. Additionally, Le Thien Loc and Nguyen Van Hoang face further charges for “organizing the illegal use of narcotics.” Investigations are ongoing to clarify the specific roles and responsibilities of all involved parties.
