Ho Chi Minh City Procuracy recovers 9 billion VND in tax debt

The People's Procuracy of District 2 in Ho Chi Minh City has successfully recovered nearly 9 billion VND in outstanding tax debts from T Construction Joint Stock Company. The debt, which had been unpaid for five years, included value-added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax, administrative fines, and late payment fees.

Acting under Resolution 205/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, the Procuracy conducted inspections and verifications to address the company's failure to meet its financial obligations. By issuing a decision to cease violations and working closely with tax authorities to persuade and urge the company, the Procuracy secured the payment of over 8.9 billion VND without the need for formal civil litigation.

This outcome demonstrates the effectiveness of proactive enforcement and monitoring under the new resolution, which allows the Procuracy to protect public interests and state budgets through direct intervention and mediation.
