Ho Chi Minh City recovers Thanh Da apartments for redevelopment
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a decision to recover public property apartments located within six blocks (Lots I, II, VIII, IX, X, and XI) of the Thanh Da apartment complex in Binh Quoi Ward. This action is part of a larger project to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings.
Tenants of the recovered public property will be eligible for relocation assistance, temporary housing, and options to rent or purchase resettlement housing following the redevelopment, in accordance with current housing laws and government decrees. Residents are required to hand over the properties in their current state to the Housing Management and Construction Inspection Center and are responsible for compensating any damages to the units.
The Thanh Da Housing Development Joint Stock Company is tasked with arranging temporary accommodation for residents during the project. The recovery process is scheduled to be completed within 30 days of the decision's issuance. Local authorities, including the Binh Quoi Ward People's Committee and local police, will coordinate with various management companies to execute the procedures.
