Ho Chi Minh City simplifies land registration procedures

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued Decision 5028/QD-UBND, approving new internal and electronic administrative procedures for land-related transactions that are no longer restricted by administrative boundaries.

This reform allows citizens to complete five specific types of procedures regarding the registration of security measures for land use rights and attached assets at any branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Land Registration Office. Previously, residents with land in specific areas, such as those in Cu Chi living with land in former Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas, were required to visit the specific branch managing that territory.

The new procedures include the registration, modification, and cancellation of security measures, as well as the registration of notices regarding the handling of collateralized assets. The system will utilize digitalization and automatic data transfer between agencies to process applications and return results, reducing the need for physical travel to specific local branches.
