Ho Chi Minh City targets $11 billion in FDI for 2026
Ho Chi Minh City is working toward a goal of attracting $11 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 2026. The city is focusing on improving the quality of capital and accelerating project implementation, with priorities placed on high-tech sectors, manufacturing, logistics, and digital infrastructure.
On the diplomatic and trade front, several developments are shaping Vietnam's international economic relations. A state visit by General Secretary and President To Lam to Russia is expected to elevate trade cooperation between the two nations. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang has affirmed that Vietnam will facilitate maximum conditions for Myanmar businesses to invest in the country, particularly in high-value-added sectors. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has also expressed interest in strengthening investment ties and partnerships with Japanese enterprises.
