On 4 September, municipal officials reviewed strong performance from the first eight months of the year, noting a 10.8% rise in the Index of Industrial Production and a 167.3% surge in FDI attraction, which exceeded 10 billion USD. To meet a full-year GRDP growth goal of at least 10%, the municipal People’s Committee is targeting growth of at least 11.07% in the third quarter. On 9 September, the city held a workshop at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House to discuss developing the cultural and film industries in connection with tourism and heritage conservation. The 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue, held from 10–12 September under the theme ‘Local Diplomacy: A Driver for Innovation and Sustainable Growth’, featured nearly 500 delegates and 35 international delegations. By mid-September, the city intensified efforts to accelerate public investment disbursement to drive infrastructure development.
