Ho Chi Minh City to spend 1,865 billion VND on traffic bottleneck

Ho Chi Minh City plans to spend approximately 1,865 billion VND to resolve a major traffic bottleneck on Luong Dinh Cua Street. The project aims to clear over 22,000 square meters of land between Nguyen Hoang Street and the An Phu intersection, a section that has stalled since late 2020 due to land clearance issues.

The uncompleted 500-meter stretch has caused significant congestion during peak hours and has delayed the expansion of the Luong Dinh Cua road project, which began in 2015. This delay also impacts the N1.2 overpass branch of the An Phu intersection. The road is a vital artery connecting the city center to the Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Cat Lai port, and eastern districts.

The planned land recovery involves 67 cases, including 66 households and one organization. The land being reclaimed consists of residential, agricultural, and transport/canal areas located in Binh Trung Ward.
