Ho Chi Minh City Volunteers Conduct Summer Aid Project in Laos
From 12 to 28 June 2026, a team of 67 volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City carried out the 22nd summer volunteer program in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Operating in the four provinces of Champasak, Attapeu, Xekong and Salavan, the volunteers engaged in social welfare, education, youth exchange and community‑building activities. They presented gifts to border‑guard personnel at the Bờ Y International Checkpoint, laid flowers at the Laos‑Vietnam Combat Alliance monument and delivered youth‑development projects valued at over 1 billion VND.
In Attapeu, the team organized a children’s playground, distributed 50 backpacks, 500 school notebooks and other study supplies, and provided free medical examinations, including gynecological and ultrasound services. They also donated four automatic blood‑pressure monitors and a wheelchair to local health facilities. Local officials recognized the volunteers’ contributions with a commendation certificate.
