Ho Van Long Secondary School faces food safety investigation

Parents at Ho Van Long Secondary School have filed a formal complaint regarding serious food safety concerns in student meals during the early 2026-2027 school year. Reported issues include insufficient food portions, sour or spoiled soup, and meat that appeared undercooked or had an unusual odor. Some students reportedly experienced allergic reactions and skin rashes following meals.

During a site visit to the food provider's facility in Binh Tan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, parent representatives discovered that the business registration address did not match the actual cooking location. The company reportedly refused to allow inspectors to enter the premises. In response to these allegations, the Binh Tan Ward People's Committee and relevant authorities scheduled an inspection of the school's canteen for September 16.
