Hoanh Mo Border Guards support digital transformation for local residents

The Hoanh Mo Border Gate Border Guard Station in Quang Ninh province is actively supporting local residents in digital transformation efforts. Under the principle of “learning together, doing together, and transforming together,” border guards are helping citizens adopt new technologies.

In collaboration with the Hoanh Mo Commune People's Committee, Ha Long Retail Center, and TPBank, the station organized a digital literacy session for over 200 residents, including students and youth union members. The training provided hands-on guidance for using mobile technology, including activating VNeID electronic identification accounts, accessing online public service portals, and using QR codes for cashless payments.

Local officials noted that these efforts complement the border guards' primary duties of maintaining security and sovereignty. Residents reported that the training has made administrative procedures more convenient, allowing them to submit information from home rather than traveling long distances.
