Hodonín police stop unlicensed driver under ban and intoxicated
A driver in Hodonín was intercepted by police while operating a Volkswagen Passat without a valid driver's license and while under an active driving ban. During a traffic stop on Brněnská Street in early August, the driver exhibited nervous behavior and lacked any identification.
Police spokesperson Petr Vala reported that the individual had never held a driver's license and was currently prohibited from driving until next year. A breathalyzer test revealed an alcohol concentration of 1.38 per mille. Although the driver initially claimed to have consumed only two beers, he later admitted to consuming twelve 12-degree beers and four rums over the preceding period.
While drug tests returned negative results, the driver faces legal consequences for violating an official decision. He may face up to three years in prison.
