Hoffenheim's Bazoumana Touré set for record €50m move to Newcastle United

Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré, the 20‑year‑old Ivorian forward who featured for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, is reportedly close to joining Premier League side Newcastle United. Reports from Sky and The Athletic indicate a transfer fee of around €50 million, which would become the most lucrative sale in Hoffenheim’s history, surpassing the €43.5 million received for Joelinton in 2019. The deal is said to include a five‑year contract, a medical examination pending, and a 10 percent future sell‑on clause for the German club.

Touré arrived at Hoffenheim from Swedish club Hammarby in February 2025 for roughly €9 million and has made 45 league appearances, scoring five goals and providing twelve assists. His performances this season, including 30 matches and 17 points in the scoring system, have attracted interest from several top clubs, but Newcastle United appears to be the leading destination.
