Hoka unveils Clifton PRO, a performance‑upgraded version of its popular Clifton running shoe

Hoka released the new Clifton PRO on July 9, pricing it at $165. The shoe adds the brand’s PROGLIDE+ supercritical foam midsole and a more aggressive MetaRocker geometry to deliver a springier, more responsive ride while retaining the cushioned feel of the Clifton line. The upper is redesigned for better breathability, includes reflective accents for visibility, and features reinforced rubber in high‑impact zones for durability. Both men’s and women’s models are offered in multiple colors and wide widths.

Earlier in the month, Hoka introduced the Clifton 11, its latest daily trainer, priced at ¥19,800 in Japan. To promote the launch, a morning run event was held in Setagaya Park, Tokyo, where models and editors ran 3‑km and 5‑km courses, followed by coffee, sandwiches, and a DJ set, showcasing a relaxed “run‑and‑chill” experience.

The Clifton PRO sits between the everyday Clifton 11 and Hoka’s higher‑performance models, aiming to give regular runners extra energy return without needing a race‑day shoe.
