Hokkaido food fairs held at Japanese department stores

Various department stores in Japan are hosting autumn food exhibitions featuring specialties from Hokkaido.

At Tobu Utsunomiya Department Store, the 47th Autumn Hokkaido Product Fair is currently in its second week, running until September 30, 2026. The event features seafood bento boxes, melon sweets, and a wine lottery where participants can win premium Hokkaido wines for a fixed price.

Matsuzakaya Nagoya is set to host its Autumn Hokkaido Product Fair starting October 1, 2026. The event will be held in two phases: the first from October 1 to October 6, and the second from October 7 to October 12. Highlights include sweets featuring Hokkaido azuki beans and fruit, exclusive items from Ishiya, and budget-friendly gourmet options such as 1,080 yen bento boxes. The fair also includes a lottery for luxury hotel stays and discounted seafood products from suppliers like Abashiri Suisan.
