Home burglaries strike families in Francavilla al Mare and Montese, Italy

In Francavilla al Mare, Abruzzo, thieves broke into a residence late at night, stealing cash and jewellery worth about €3,000, including gold watches and a bracelet, after the owners attended a nearby party. The criminals entered through a broken kitchen window and escaped on foot.

In Montese, Modena, a band of robbers burst into a home in Castelluccio, mistakenly targeting the wrong house. They held the family hostage, forced the parents to hand over cash and gold items, and fled in a getaway car. No one was injured, and local police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the offenders.
