Hometown Giants TV series receives positive reviews
The new six-episode television series “Hometown Giants,” which premiered on October 16 on Amazon Prime Video, is receiving positive initial reviews. The series provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Langley-based Western Hockey League (WHL) team, the Vancouver Giants, during the 2025-26 season.
The show highlights the team's campaign to secure a championship for the first time since 2007. It features the involvement of part-owners Michael Bublé and Drew Scott. Reviewers have praised the series for its focus on young players and its portrayal of the high-pressure environment of major junior hockey.
While critics like Movieguide.org have called it “worth the watch,” some reviewers noted that the content includes frequent foul language and mild violence during on-ice fights, suggesting it may not be suitable for the youngest viewers.
