Homo Faber 2026 showcases contemporary craftsmanship in Venice

The fourth edition of Homo Faber, titled ‘An Island of Light’, is being held from September 1 to 30, 2026, at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. Curated by British designer Es Devlin, the event explores the relationship between light, matter, and human craftsmanship.

Featured projects include Murano glass wall lamps by Draga & Aurel and a major installation by Giorgetti titled ‘A Feast of Light’. Other notable participants include Venini, showcasing the ‘Rivivo’ sculpture, and Del Savio 1910.

Mazda has renewed its partnership with the Michelangelo Foundation for this edition, hosting workshops such as dihanko and kintsugi to promote traditional Japanese arts through European craftsmanship and hands-on experimentation.
