Honda Confirms Third-Gen Ridgeline Pickup to Arrive Within Two Years

Honda Motor Co. announced that a third‑generation Ridgeline midsize pickup is in development and will be released within the next two years. The company released a teaser silhouette showing a boxier, more rugged design that echoes the TrailSport‑styled Passport SUV.

The new Ridgeline will be designed at Honda’s Southern California studio and engineered at the Honda Auto Development Center in Ohio, with final assembly continuing at the Lincoln, Alabama plant where the current model is built. Production of the existing Ridgeline is slated to pause later in 2026 to prepare the line for the new generation.

While full specifications have not been disclosed, Honda indicated the next‑gen truck is likely to feature a hybrid V‑6 powertrain that could boost acceleration by more than 10 % and improve fuel economy by over 30 % compared with the outgoing 3.5‑liter V6. The updated model aims to strengthen Honda’s position in the competitive U.S. midsize pickup segment.
