Honda Prelude Limited Edition expanding to European market
Honda is expanding the availability of its revived hybrid sports coupe, the Prelude, by introducing a Limited Edition variant to the European market. Following strong consumer demand in Japan, this special edition is expected to arrive in Europe as a 2027 model year vehicle, with availability in Italy starting in February 2027.
The Limited Edition features several aesthetic upgrades, most notably the ‘Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic’ exterior paint. Other exterior enhancements include red accents on the bumpers, red Brembo brake calipers, and 19-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels. The interior is upgraded with a Bordeaux-themed cabin, utilizing premium materials, red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard, and seats, and specialized floor mats. A unique embroidered Prelude logo is also featured on the dashboard.
Mechanically, the vehicle retains the standard e:HEV hybrid powertrain producing 184 hp. It utilizes Honda S+ Shift technology to simulate gear shifts for a more engaging driving experience. The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 188 km/h. While the car is being positioned as a more luxurious and exclusive version of the standard model, Honda has not yet officially confirmed the total number of units to be produced for the European market.
