Honda announces upcoming redesigns for ZR-V and CR-V models

Honda is preparing significant updates and redesigns for its SUV lineup. The Japanese ZR-V is expected to receive major upgrades for the 2027 model year, with a debut scheduled for the Tokyo Auto Salon in January. These updates may include new RS and TrailSport trims, offering both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations, as well as the introduction of Honda S+ Shift technology to enhance the driving experience in hybrid variants.

Separately, the next-generation Honda CR-V is slated for production in Canada in February 2027, followed by US production a month later. The 2028 model is rumored to be a hybrid-only vehicle utilizing a new 2.0-liter engine and electric motor system. This new platform is expected to eventually support other models, including the Civic, Accord, and Acura RDX. Early reports suggest the CR-V may transition from its traditional vertical rear light design to a horizontal layout.
