Honda announces updates for Freed minivan and Prelude special edition

Honda is introducing several updates and special editions to its vehicle lineup in Japan.

The compact minivan Honda Freed will undergo a minor change in November 2026. Key updates include the introduction of a new 2-row, 5-seater configuration for the AIR EX grade, providing more luggage space. Honda is also launching the “BLACK STYLE” special edition for both the Freed and Freed Crosstar models, which features blacked-out exterior and interior components. Additionally, the Honda CONNECT 9-inch display audio system will become a manufacturer option for most grades. Due to rising raw material costs, vehicle prices are expected to increase by approximately 100,000 yen.

Separately, Honda has announced the release of the “2027 Limited Edition” for the new Honda Prelude, scheduled for August 20. This special edition features a unique “Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic” exterior color and a Bordeaux and black interior combination. The model includes red accents on the bumpers, brake calipers, and steering wheel stitching. The Prelude 2027 Limited Edition is priced at 6,306,300 yen.
