India July 2026 auto sales surge; Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Kia post records
India’s passenger‑vehicle market expanded by about 33 % in July 2026, with roughly 470 000 units dispatched. Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest ever domestic sales, moving 2,41,421 vehicles and posting a 9.1 % drop in Q1 FY27 consolidated net profit to Rs 3,447 crore. JSW MG Motor India wholesaled 8,158 vehicles, more than 80 % of which were new‑energy models. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles sold 63,760 units, a 59 % increase, with electric‑vehicle sales climbing to 15,217 units (+114 %).
