Honda introduces CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch and announces amateur race participation

Honda has announced the launch of the CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch, a full-fairing road sport motorcycle scheduled for release on September 18, 2026. This model marks the return of a four-cylinder engine in a full-fairing design for this segment after 33 years. The motorcycle features a 399cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-cylinder engine producing 58PS and is equipped with Honda’s proprietary E-Clutch technology, which allows for automatic clutch control.

In a related development, Honda announced that the development team for the newly released CB400 Super Four E-Clutch will participate in the ‘Tetsuuma’ amateur race at HSR Kyushu on September 19–20. The team will compete in the Iron NK4 class to help establish fair regulations for future users participating in the race with the same model. The participation aims to demonstrate the circuit potential of the E-Clutch system.
