Honda launches 2026 CB400 Super Four and CBR400R E‑Clutch motorcycles in Japan
Honda announced that production and delivery of two new 399 cc inline‑four motorcycles will start in Japan this summer. The naked CB400 Super Four E‑Clutch will arrive at select Dream dealerships on 21 August 2026, priced at ¥998,800 (≈£4,600). The fully‑faired CBR400R Four E‑Clutch will follow on 18 September 2026 with a price of ¥1,199,000 (≈£5,500).
Both models use a liquid‑cooled 399 cc engine delivering 57.2 hp at 11,500 rpm and 38 Nm torque, paired with Honda’s semi‑automatic E‑Clutch system, throttle‑by‑wire, a five‑inch TFT display and RoadSync smartphone integration. The CB400 carries a 15‑litre fuel tank, while the CBR400R features a lower handlebar and full fairing. Weights are roughly 187 kg for the CB400 and 412 lb for the CBR400R.
