Honda launches QC3 electric scooter in India with 145 km range
Honda Motor Co. unveiled its new QC3 electric scooter at a launch event in India. The model is equipped with a fixed 3 kWh lithium‑ion battery that the manufacturer claims delivers an IDC‑certified range of about 145 km on a single charge. Fast‑charging capability allows the battery to reach 80 % capacity in roughly 2 hours 40 minutes, with a full charge taking around four hours.
The QC3 targets family and commuter riders, offering practical features such as a 32‑litre under‑seat storage compartment, a 5‑inch TFT colour display, Bluetooth‑enabled Honda RoadSync smartphone integration, and a Smart Key system. Its chassis includes a telescopic front fork, dual rear shock absorbers, a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
Pricing has not been officially announced, but industry sources expect an ex‑showroom price near INR 1.20 lakh. The launch expands Honda’s electric two‑wheel portfolio in the Indian market, following earlier models such as the QC1 and Activa e.
