Honda partners with Achilles for Civic Type R children's sneakers

Honda has partnered with the Japanese footwear manufacturer Achilles to release a line of children's sneakers inspired by the Civic Type R. The collaboration utilizes the existing Ultima Cheetah model from Achilles' popular Syunsoku series.

The footwear features design elements from the sports compact, including the official Type R logo on the front, the red Honda emblem on the heels, and red stitching reminiscent of the vehicle's interior. The sneakers are available in three colors: Championship White, Flame Red, and Racing Blue Pearl.

Technical features include an asymmetrical sole design intended to improve grip during turns and an Inner Flex System. The shoes are priced at approximately 6,490 ¥ (about $41 USD) in Japan and are available in European sizes ranging from 25 to 36. Pre-orders have opened, with initial deliveries expected in October.
