Honda Prelude returns to Brazil as a hybrid coupe

Honda has launched the sixth-generation Prelude in Brazil, marking the return of the iconic coupe after a 21-year hiatus. The new model is priced at R$ 380,000 and is available in a single version.

Moving away from its previous relationship with the Accord, the new Prelude is built on the eleventh-generation Civic platform, featuring a shortened wheelbase and wider track inspired by the Civic Type R. It features a 2+2 seating configuration and a 264-liter trunk capacity. The interior includes black leather with white accents and a Bose sound system.

The vehicle utilizes Honda’s e:HEV hybrid system, combining a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor. This setup produces a combined peak output of 203 cv. The system is designed for high efficiency, reporting fuel consumption of 17.9 km/l in the city and 15.7 km/l on the highway.
