Honda recalls Rebel 500 motorcycles in India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced a recall for the Honda Rebel 500 cruiser motorcycle. The recall affects units manufactured between April 2025 and August 2025.

The issue involves a handle-lock fixing screw that may not have been tightened sufficiently during assembly. Over time, this screw could loosen, potentially impacting steering movement. While Honda stated that no issues have been reported so far, the company is taking precautionary measures to replace the screw free of charge, regardless of warranty status.

In India, the recall impacts 96 units. The service process is scheduled to begin in the first week of November through the Honda BigWing dealership network. Affected customers will be contacted via phone, SMS, or email. Owners can also verify their vehicle status through the recall section on the official Honda website using their vehicle verification number.
