Honda reports record hybrid sales in US and motorcycle growth in Vietnam

Honda has reported record-breaking hybrid vehicle sales in the United States for July, driven by high fuel prices and consumer demand for fuel-efficient sedans and SUVs. In the U.S., hybrid sales reached 36,609 units. The CR-V Hybrid was a major contributor, accounting for 54% of total CR-V sales with 20,710 units sold, an 18.4% increase compared to the previous year. Other notable performers included the Accord Hybrid, which saw a 28.7% increase, and the Civic, which recorded its best July since 2021.

On a global scale, Honda’s motorcycle division has shown strong recovery and growth. As of July 2026, global motorcycle sales reached over 12.6 million units, an 8.8% increase year-over-year. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam emerged as a key growth driver with a 5.3% increase in sales, outperforming Indonesia (3.8% growth) and Thailand, which saw a slight decline of 0.2%. This follows a period of significant recovery for Honda's motorcycle business since the 2020 pandemic-induced downturn.
