Honda Super ONE electric vehicle faces supply risks following Japan production halt
The Honda Super ONE electric vehicle has seen rapid demand in Indonesia, with all 2026 allocations sold out within a single day of official orders opening on August 5, 2026. As of August 6, 132 units were booked, exceeding the initial allocation of 100 units. Most orders originated from the Jabodetabek region (35%) and West Java (23%), with Luminous Gray Metallic being the most popular color choice.
However, production of the model faces potential disruptions. Following a major earthquake in Japan, Honda has extended the suspension of operations at several facilities. The Yorii plant has been halted since August 5, and the Suzuka plant—which produces the Honda Super ONE—is among the facilities affected. Since the Honda Super ONE is imported as a fully built-up (CBU) unit to Indonesia, these production halts in Japan, which are expected to last until at least August 19, may impact vehicle supply in the Indonesian market.
