Honda Super-One electric vehicle sees rapid demand in Australia

The Honda Super-One, a compact electric vehicle, has seen rapid demand in Australia, with the initial allocation of approximately 125 units sold out within hours of opening for deposits. Honda Australia noted that while these figures represent refundable deposits rather than finalized purchase contracts, the high interest is evident. Prior to the pricing announcement on August 4, the company had already recorded at least 7,000 expressions of interest in the country.

Due to this demand, orders for the 2026 model year are already fully booked. Honda is currently accepting orders for deliveries in 2027 and is working with manufacturing facilities to increase supply. Customers opting for specific two-tone colors may face wait times until mid-2027, while those choosing monochrome options like grey, black, or purple may receive vehicles in early 2027.

The Super-One is one of the smallest cars in Australia, featuring a 47 kW front-mounted electric motor and a 29.6 kWh battery providing a maximum urban range of 320 km per charge. Fast charging from 10% to 80% takes approximately 30 minutes. In Australia, the vehicle is priced starting at 36,900 AUD for monochrome versions and 37,400 AUD for two-tone models.
