Honda Super-One EV Posts Strong Early Sales After Indonesia Auto Show Launch

Honda unveiled its new compact electric vehicle, the Super‑One, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The model, positioned as a small ordinary‑car EV rather than a kei‑car, features a widened body, lightweight construction at 1,090 kg and a large drive battery.

In its first month on the market, the Super‑One recorded 1,061 registrations in June 2026 and, including dealer test‑drive units, has attracted orders for about 14,000 vehicles. Analysts attribute the rapid uptake to the car’s distinctive design, “bristle‑fender” styling, and a driving experience that recalls Honda’s 1980s City Turbo II, a model celebrated for its strong acceleration.

The vehicle is also being eyed for export to neighboring markets, with interest reported in Vietnam following the show’s coverage of multiple new models.
